Let’s open doors to a brighter tomorrow.

Quaker Hill is a non‑profit retreat and conference center offering hospitality to faith‑based and community groups in an atmosphere that embodies and nurtures Quaker values of peace, simplicity. integrity, and equality.

Our vision is to provide an exceptional retreat experience for individuals and small groups seeking a special place apart from the routines of daily life. We strive to provide excellent hospitality in a beautiful, well‑maintained environment. We seek to provide a safe setting to examine, discern and experience truth, peace, and reconciliation.

The center honors our Quaker heritage and preserves the historic Evans' House. The main building, Evans House, was built in 1855 by Isaac Evans as a wedding present for his bride, Mary Ann Buffam. The house stayed in the family until the Depression when the house sold. It was purchased back by their grandson, Isaac Woodard, in 1940, who planned for it to be used as a regional conference center. During the Second World War, the house was used for refugee resettlement, and also housed a day camp and a Rural Life Association.

Today the center serves religious retreats, local organizations and Quaker organizations including Earlham College.
